Who I Am
My name is Gary Astleford, and I'm a Girl Scout troop leader from southern California. I've been playing tabletop role-playing games for three decades, and the benefits I've reaped from this amazing and immersive hobby have shaped my life and career.

I am a freelance writer and game designer, and I've contributed to more than 35 books and articles for various role-playing games. I am also a computer games professional with two AAA titles under my belt, and I currently work as a Scriptwriter for Ubisoft in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Dungeon Scouts' History
Dungeon Scouts is just getting started, but its genesis began in mid-2014 when I decided I wanted to introduce the Girl Scouts of my service unit to TRPGs. Since then, I've created requirements for a TRPG badge and organized and hosted a TRPG workshop for the San Diego Girl Scouts.

With this promising beginning, I hope to eventually bring TRPGs to a whole new generation.
